As a member of the Cheswold VFC, we are committed to providing an advanced level of service to the department and our community. The goal of all Cheswold VFC Fire is to positively and professionally impact the department while assisting in customer and community services.
When our Cheswold VFC volunteers answer the call, they are usually the first on the scene, be it a fire, accident, medical emergency, or vehicle rescue. Junior Firefighters (ages 15 to 17)
With the written consent of their parent or guardian, Junior Firefighter members will learn skills essential to the fire service, leadership, and teamwork and gain new relationships in the fire service. Experienced Cheswold VFC leaders and instructors will guide youth volunteers in the fire service activities and participate in various education, training, and exercises:
- History of Local Fire Service
- Fire Rescue Apparatus
- Ride Alongs
- Hose Line Training
- Vehicle Rescue Training
- CPR
